Until 1946 the Army Air Corps was part of the Army. At that time the U. S. Air Force emerged as a separate branch of the military. Airplanes and their history have always been a passion for many people since the Wright Brothers first flew at Kitty Hawk.

 

In this exhibit you will be learn about a "short snorter," invasion stripes and many other interesting facts about this elite group.
